I was innactive in games topic really long time, but dont be affraid i have some nice and sweet ss's from oldest and newest games.
For beginning Just Cause 2:
Game is fucking awesome, really nice graph sound and a gameplay.
Biutyfull island with lots of cars, boats, flying machines and other moving objects.
Its an Spider-man on vacation.
Btw only supports windows vista/seven.
Xp is not supported cuz dx 10/11
nvidia physics shows us here great performance starting from ge 8800 and upper.
Lots of fun, fast but hard missions, hudge open world. what to say more :P

Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz, 3 GB RAM, karta grafiki 512 MB (GeForce GTS 250 lub lepsza), 10 GB HDD, Windows Vista/7

environment looks nice but dont have neither vista or seven (and not play to install that buggy shit) neigher ge8800 - so i just stick with q3 :)

doggy win seven works as fast as xp, and if u ask me for real i prefer win 7 ultimate edition.
Req of this system is similar than xp but have view like vista.
For example sus req:
xp: 1gb space, 256mb ram, 400mhz + pc
vista:
12gb space 1 gb ram, min 2mhz pc
seven:
2gb space, 512mb ram, 1,5mhz pc
and(what is funny)in mine case seven works faster than xp pro sp3 :)
mine pc turn on in 8 sec from turn power button on, all games r running same as on xp.
hmmm i dont have good pc bros, i have just oryginal parts of good producers.
gigabyte, amd, nvidia, ram black dragon, phentagram 550vats power, phentagram cooler with heat pipes, naah i upgrated mine pc almoust 2 years :)
And im buying new one in a close future.
4gb ram ocz 1333, amd phenom x4 2.9ghz, ge force gts 250 double (not single proc) and it will be in slim mode (i have gts 250 double proc) :))

lol i got some windows 7 it required 8 gb or even more to install 
+ i was said it has problems with additional software like mouse and i have laptop where there are many not usual things to install... don't want to **** up but maybe will do parallel installation when i will not be so lazy

mine 7 use 2 gb+ space, and all works fine, beginning of mouse USB laser a4tech x730 oscar edition with wight reduction kit in end in high def adio driver :P
but dunno maybe ur lap is shit :F xD
