haha with new pc i can play that game with full graph on dx9, when i instal vista i will play with dx10 :P
Man that game rox, that phisic, colors, even sound makes me floating sit next to screen ....

9 cuz hardware, u really need a good pc to run it....

Ye, If i buy a new computer, i will definately play this game. But i doubt you can play the game with full graphics -> Very high with 16x AA, 8x AF, 1920x1440?:P

Prest, amd athlon64 x2 4200mhz+, 2ghz ram dual channel 800mhz, hyper transport, hyper threading, dual processor, mine bro give me video card ge force 8600 sonic with 512mb 750mhz..
So why not on full?? xD :P

That's for sure not enough to play it on full graphics, no computer in the world can max it with like 150 fps, maybe in a couple years it's possible:D.
And your hardware is pretty good, better than mine actually, but it's far away from the best possible. Your processor is ok, the memory is good:D (and i guess u mean 2Gb ram and not ghz?) , and the graphic card is not bad at all.
The best possible would be like this:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
Video card: GeForce 9800 x2 (will come soon)
Memory: Corsair Dominator TWIN3X 1800MHz DDR3 (may be some better.)

Prest lol on youtube u have film about crysis with full graphick xD Dont belive who wrote shitts, even producers r improvind minimum very big,, lol its like this, producers wrote minimum p quadro, 3 gb ram, ge force 9600.
because ppl will think lol i have shit pc and but new one. its commercial...
look at stalker shadow of charnobyl.
2 ghz proc 1 ghz ram good video... i was playing it on athlon 1.4ghz witj 512mb ram and ge force 4200 ti video...... on medium graph

I have not got this from youtube:P, and it's not about commercial, you can run the game excellent with much worse hardware than the best i wrote, but it dosen't change the fact that the hardware is better. But your kinda right anyway, nvidia and some more cooperates with crytek (the creator of crysis) because they want to sell their products, and they know people will buy new hardware beacause of this game.
I don't know what fps you got with that hardware (500mb, 1.4ghz, 4200 ti) but i couldn't run crysis demo on medium with good fps, and I have intel dual core 4300 1.8 ghz, 1GB ram pc2 4200 and geForce 7500 Le

u see huh athlon dual core 2x 2.4ghz, with that motherboard with box cooler can overclock to 2x2.8 but i dont need it :) there was a test on youtube with mine processor same rams but better video 8800, and was with dx9 full, and dx10 full.
fps was like 80-90 so its great for that type of game, xD i play with 60 fps in quake and its run like formula :P

well i just found your forums and this thread caught my eye because i have finished crysis twice and unfortunately i have to inform you that what virgo is saying is not true (about crysis and hardware needed for high and very high details)
my pc (almost two years old) specss are as follows:
core 2 duo e6600 (at stock clocks it's much faster than x2 4200)
ati radeon x1900xt (yes it's dx9 card, i know but it's faster than gf8600)
you can google for comparisons of those if you dont believe me.
and yes it works like a charm on low and medium but high and very high are the different story. i was playing it on mixed up high and very high (yes you can turn on very high on windows xp via cfg file and it runs better than very high on vista) because this game is so beautifful that you can't stand how does it look like on lower details but framerates around 20 and lower are far from comfortable. how come it runs great on your pc?
could you provide any link to youtube showing someone playing crysis on at least high at 80 fps with single (can be ultra) 8800? afaik even 8800 ultra does not have the powere to run crysis maxed out flawlessly.
oh and btw. hyper threading on amd cpu? i thought hyper threading was used only on pentium4 and that was allowing a single core cpu to act like there were 2 cpus (kinda).
about quake 3 and 60 fps. having com_maxfps at 60 is not good cause it will limit your jumps height and distance (try to reach megahealth from yellow armour on q3dm13 or jump over the lava on q3dm7 in one jump, i think even the famous jump for railgun on q3dm6 is not possible with 60 fps).

and what do you mean by x2 4200+ are not the same like 4 series?
you mean it's faster than x2 4800+ ? OO (x2 4800 is slower than e6600 either btw).
google for benchmarks as it seems i can't post any links here (some spam protection).
anyway i don't want to say that your pc sux (or start any flamewar), it doesn't, it's not bad mid-range pc. im saying this all because one of the forum visitors may buy those parts (price range of 40gb playstation3), fire up crysis and then say what the ****? why it's not working smooth like virgo said?
just beacause it works it doesn't mean it works good.

laptop HP Compaq nx 6125, with amd Sempron 3100+
1 gb of RAM memory, but couse of stupid graphic card (mobile radeon x 200 of 128 mb) i have 128 mb less of RAM memory, couse graphic memory is integrated :!:
and alos its broken, couse it few times dropped on flor...it has lots of selopteip...
80 gb of hard drive memory....well thats not so bad.
but i play on crt LG studioworks 17"....i will soon buy bigger one, also crt.
but mouse Logitech G9 rox :P
headset--> creative HS-600, nothing special, but its ok.
cryisis----> only in dreams with this "PC". :)

amd 4200+ model semphiroth, amd 4200+ brisbean, amd 4200+ 65nw model brisbean,
Second slowest dual core processors is core 2 duo intel.
alst u read pc format?
There u have what pc is slower or faster....
Mine pc in test get 6 place from 18 dual core processors amd and intel........
btw i have amd athlon 64 x2, dual core, 84x stepping model brisbean with 65 nanometer technology. and check some sites with processors or test with them so u will see that mine proc is better than normal amd 4800 or intel core 2 duo.......
First read please than talk some thing about processors.
there r lots of amd athlon 64 but u have more than 4 models with faster steppings with new technology... same as l2 cache 1ghz and other stufff.
U can have amd athlon xp 2.0ghz but it can be much better than intel 2.5ghz if u know where to search in it.... Damn i hate ppl who write what the dont really know......
