Sounds like many other countrys i have to say, but on the paper spain has got the best players, and they've got a lot of them as well. Anything can happen in football and it's very hard to predict anyway :) |
Well i totally need to agree with ur last sentence. But with the first 1 not really. In my idea (as far i heard) has netherlands the best players on paper. I could be wrong also ofc. But like u said, in football it's hard to predict it. But i hope the netherlands will win tomorrow, atleast they will go till the quarter or half final (watching our pool, witch is really laughin xD)

Nah he is right, we DO have the best players on paper, seeing were they all play and how many they play.
The top 6 of all players from the worldcup that played the most minutes this last season, includes 4 dutch players. That already says allot about our team.
And yea we didnt impressed that much yesterday, but atleast we won, and are almost sure already from going to the next round :D

Well, then I am not talking about 1 team..
For example take the game vs denmark yesterday. The star players where on the field (van persie, bommel, sneijder, v/d vaart). But noone managed to make 1. After that, they made 2 changes, elia + affelay wich aren't basic players but just some reserve players. So they went in, and after a couple of mins the first 2 chances where there for elia allready.
Just wanted to say, that netherlands has more good players for different stadia's of game's.. Cause evry1 would think that v persie or sneijder, v/d vaart would make several goals yesterday, while they didn't even had a chance against them.. (I dun see kuyt's goal for kuyt cuz elia just owned the others imo it's his goal (altough he didn't really made him actually). Kuyt was just lucky he ranned on the good place lol, there was nothing on to be called a good played goal from him.
This is what i meantioned with the best players on paper.. Netherlands has for evry game, several good players. And that is what makin them good imo..
Also i need to agree that the game yesterday sucked ass lol (atleast the first 45 mins)

About the goal from kuyt, it does show a good goal, and a typical goal for a forward. Kuyt is a player who is always on the good place, in the right time. Thats what makes him a very good forward.
