The palestinian conflict
After the slaughter of the jews during the world war 2, the rest of the world felt very bad because of what happened to them, and 1947 the United nations decided that the jews deserved their own state, which was going to be situated where the palestinians lived. The descision UN made that day is one of the worst descisions coming from them in the history, since it started war after war, and they're still fighting today, and many civilian lives has been lost.
The Arabic-israeli war 1948
A very short time after The UN's descision, and when the Israelis explained thereselfs as independant, they were attacked by no more than 7 different countries - Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, saudia-arabia and also Yemen. But even though Israel got attacked by all those countries, they were very strong and it all esculated into a "capturing-marsch" for Israel, and in less than 15 months they captured about 25% of the Palestinians area, and that just kept on going.
The Suez war of 1956
During the Suez war, Israel intervened along with France and the Great brittain, to protect the suezcanal when the egyptian leader "Gamal Abdel Nasser" came into the power of Egypt. Together, The Soviet union and the USA forced the attacking countries to surrender.
The six-day war 1967
After the suez war, the peace lasted for 10 years. The egyptian leader Nasser felt his position on the throne was threated, and there for he wanted to renew the palestinian and arabic confidence, so together with other arabic countries he lined up an army along the Israeli border. And that made the israeli feel threatened, and attacked. After 6 days, they had taken over the Sinaipeninsula, and most important - Jerusalem, with the holy wailing wall.
October war 1973
Also called the Yom-kippur war. In this war, the arabic countries attacked Israel in a very tactical time. Yom kippur is a jewish festival, and at that time, the Israeli was at the synagogues. This way the Arabic was a big step ahead. It was a heavy war, and all the neighbours of Israel competed. In this war, the biggest tankfight since world war 2 took place.
The Reasons
Civilian palestinians and Israelis have now been brutally killed and suspressioned, mostly the palestinians. But what causes a big trauma like this?
*The UN's desiscion
1948, the UN made one of their biggest misstake in the history, and i by myelf can't find any good reason why you place the jews in such a bad place. It's their desiscion which is the starting shot for this big conflict.
*Religion
The religions is also a very important reason, because without the religions it wouldn't even have started. The jews wouldn't have been killed during world war 2, and neither the israelis or palestinians would have cared that much about jerusalem, because it simply wouldn't have existed any. According the jews, god has given them the country, and for the muslims, Jerusalem is holy, which means nobody of them want to give up.
*Water and resources
Water is something the human is bound to, for surviving. And when there isn't so much water in the area it creates conflicts of course, and there's always argues about water and other resources. Besides, it's used as a weapon when blocking the water supplies and so on.
