It's just better to stay away from vodka and taurine combinations as some people can suddenly react very bad to this, causing your heart to stop.

People want to make money. Alcohol itself is dangerous, still people are selling it? Same with tobacco and many other things. Don't take this as a fact though, I don't have any source proving it other than news papers telling about people who died from drinking this mixture, and also from these "ex-alcoholics"-guys coming to schools talking about drugs.
Wikipedia says: "It was reported in Sweden that two people died after drinking Vodka Red Bull. The Swedish National Food Administration is investigating and has issued a public warning, telling people not to drink Red Bull mixed with alcohol or after heavy exercise" :DD
