about 64-bit and 32-bit systems
i just wondered today - i read that basically you dont need x64 opperation systems yet as:

1. most pc's still dont work with that shit only have adopted 32-bit system to work kind of as 64-bit does.

2. in game tests x64 even fail more than x86 (32-bit) as most games dont have 64-bit support - you kind of enhance your pc but games slow it down again + might be problems of incompatibility.

so i just wonder maybe i dont need 64-bit operation system?
how many here use 64- bits? any comments?

I use it, but I don't really know much of it. All I know is that you need 64-bit to have use of all the memory i have, which is 4GB.

i even read about that ram thing that actually no games use so much... at least you can manage with 3 gb pretty good + on 64 bit games / programs which does not have compatibility with 64 bit system run badly - for example q3...

Tonight it doesn't matter You've got 32 or 64. I've tried q3 on both and it works well :)

The most important thing is ram. Games doesn't use so much but what about other apps? It is useful

RAM is needed when u work witg large images like RAW format ( 1 file can take 100Mb) so if u like fotography stuff u must have more than 4Gb :D

i have 1 Gb :D and i can make coffie when i use filter on RAW file... also i use PS 4 rsize images to their native size i mean when i have to make copy of some paintings and this is 70x50cm i must set in PS amazing res :D navigation/zoom this image is nightmare.

other stuff as i said when u compres movie files with HD u mix music or u work with adobe dreawawer or PS or other stuff 4 design

currently CPU performance is that hi so u dont fell difference using 32 or 64bit. meybe if u have 1 core old amd 64 cpu :P then this 1 core cpu is to weak for 64bit apps.

there are so many weird myths about 64bit.

just test ur 64 bit config and u will see difference if exist. dont back to 32 bit now. only if u notice some bug or stupid errors :D
